Grandpa is a little bit off-the-wall, but loves Jeremy, Jemima and Caractacus with all his
heart. Though his experience in the military drives many of his interactions, underneath all his bluster, the most important thing to Grandpa is his family.
PERFORMER: Must be a good singer who is not afraid to play “over the top”.
MUSICAL NUMBERS: Them Three, Posh!, The Roses of Success
Baron & Baroness Bomburst
These two are larger than life villains. Very good comic roles throughout the show.
PERFORMERS: Must be excellent performers who can sing, dance, and act. The Baron
and Baroness should pair well together and not be afraid to over-act a bit. They should
embody the comically inept villain, and the real threat to the Potts family.
MUSICAL NUMBERS: Chu-Chi Face, The Bombie Samba (Baroness only)
The Childcatcher is a cartoonesque character. He hates children and is quite scary.
THIS IS A NON-SINGING ROLE
The Toymaker has been secretly working to save children right under the Baron and Baroness’ noses. The Toymaker is compassionate, clever, and never gives up trying to help people.
MUSICAL NUMBERS: Teamwork
Jeremy & Jemima Potts
Energetic children who are always up for an adventure. They do everything together, and their greatest wish is to save Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from the junkyard.
PERFORMERS: These performers must work well together, act and sing.

Boris & Goran
These two are the worst spies ever. These comical roles play off each other throughout the entire show and have some of the funniest dialogue.
PERFORMERS: These are non-singing roles but should be able to do physical comedy. They speak with a Vulgarian accent (similar to Eastern European).
MUSICAL NUMBERS: Act English
