Annual General meeting 2023

This Year's AGM will be on Tuesday 20th June, at 8:00pm

AT: Ross Street Community Centre, Ross Street Cambridge CB1 3BX

All Members and friends are welcome!

What Happens at the Pied Pipers AGM?

The AGM is our yearly opportunity for Club members to have their say on how the Club is run. After reports from the Business Manager, Producer and Treasurer, members are invited to comment, question, and/or raise concerns about any matter of the Club’s business.

Included within this is the election of the new Club Committee, and the presentation of the Martin Steele Award and/or Lifelong Memberships to those who have made outstanding contributions to the Club.

An Agenda, the Minutes of the AGM in 2022, copies of the various reports, where available, and a list of Committee nominations will be made available to all, prior to the AGM.

We look forward to seeing you at Ross Street!

Please Consider coming on to the Committee - the Pied Pipers needs you!

Your Committee will be elected at the AGM, and we are seeking nominations for all Committee positions. By being on the Committee you will help shape the future of the club, including selecting our forthcoming shows.

The Club runs more efficiently if all positions on the Committee are filled, so please could we encourage you to not only complete a nomination form, but also consider being nominated for a position on the Committee. If there is more than one nomination for any position, there will be a ballot at the AGM.

Your current Committee is:

Chairman                    Madeline Harmer
Secretary                    Jo Grantham
Treasurer                    Andrew Taylor
Business Manager      Meg Stickler-Sell
Publicity Manager       Lucy Farrow
Social Secretary          Emma Harpley
General Member         Georgia Derbyshire
General Member         Laura Roberts

This Committee stands down at the AGM, and a New committee is elected.

For each nomination we need either the nominee’s signature or the nominee should return the form to us to indicate their willingness to stand. We would be grateful if any nomination forms could be returned to us in good time for the AGM. If (and only if) no nominations have been received for a Committee post, then nominations can be accepted at the AGM. If you have any questions about any of the Committee positions, please get in touch, and we will do our best to answer them.

You can use the forms linked at the bottom of this page, and one of them is an online form - very easy!

These are particularly challenging times for theatre and may remain so for some time to come.  The Club therefore needs a full Committee to work on future plans.  We have realised that, in this digital age, the role of Publicity Manager has grown, so we would invite members to think about their skills/interests as part of a working group, e.g. Social Media, Website management.  So, if anyone out there has any ideas of ways they might contribute, we would love to hear from you.
